PADI Open Water Diver Course Via The INTERNET!

Online Cost: $120.00 (Paid directly to PADI)

Pool Costs: $399.00

Includes: Enhanced Crewpack (Log book and SV Logbook Covers), Private Instruction, Instructors fees and use of all SCUBA gear. (student must provide mask, fins, snorkel, booties, gear bag, gloves, & knife)

PADI eLearning is an innovative new program designed to make training easier and more efficient. Designed with the busy diver in mind, eLearning provides interactive diver education via the Internet, accessible from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day-7 days a week, immediate feedback, virtual modeling simulations and video clips, all at a pace controlled by the diver.

PADI eLearning is designed to fit right into your schedule:

  • Interactive diver education on the Internet and continuing through Aqua World, your PADI 5 Star Dive Center and PADI eRetailer.

  • Minimized class time and maximum in-water time.

In developing its eLearning concept, PADI's goal was to satisfy the needs of the PADI Dive Centers and their students. With PADI's eLearning model, students begin their dive education online, but are directed to PADI Dive Centers to complete it.

In many fields, online courses replace the need for face-to-face interaction with the instructor.

This is not consistent with the PADI System of diver education philosophy. PADI's eLearning courses do not replace the instructor's traditional role. Rather, they provide another way for divers to complete knowledge development portions of PADI Courses at their leisure.

Once student divers complete the knowledge development portion of the course online, they must come to SeaVentures to complete training. And, depending on the course, instructors still need to check diver's knowledge reviews, remediate any missed questions and then administer any quizzes or exams, as appropriate.

Additionally, they must still provide additional elaboration on course topics and safety information when necessary, as well as discuss local dive sites and dive practices, assist divers with equipment selection or dive travel needs and provide information on the benefits of continuing education. Note: The course fee for PADI eLearning courses do not include training costs for completing the pool & open water sessions.

Indoor 90 Degree Heated Pool!
  • Indoor, 12 1/2 foot deep 90° pool - Our pool is in our facility.  You won't have to run all over town getting to and from your  pool sessions.  You won't be learning in a COLD pool, and you can FULLY practice ascents and descents.

Unlimited Pool Practice!
  • Free pool practice sessions - This is where you get to come and play and practice what you have learned as often as you like.  This REALLY gets you comfortable with your diving skills BEFORE you go on your certification trip.
  • Patient Instructors - Don't worry if you do not get it right the first time.... our professional and courteous staff will work with you until you are comfortable!
