What is required to get certified?
To become a certified diver, you will complete three training elements:
1) Home Study - You will read the PADI Open Water book and watch a DVD to learn about scuba diving.
2) Pool Dives - You will learn how to assemble your equipment, enter and exit the water, and all the basic skills of diving. Our pool is on-site, is a warm 90 degrees year 'round, and 12+ feet deep. This portion of the training is a lot of fun!
3) Open Water Dives - It is time to go diving! You will go on four dives under the supervision of a Scuba Instructor in the Ocean, Lake or Quarry. Most of your time on these dives will be exploring the underwater world, and you will spend a few minutes on each dive repeating some of the skills you learned in the pool. This is so much fun! After that, you're CERTIFIED!
