  after camping in the snow of yosemite for 3 weeks i learned that i need a knife that does not absorb and is not effected by water. it also needs to be light weight and have a secure sheath. this knife meets those requirements. the knife itself seems pretty strong and disassembles for cleaning. however, it is of no outstanding quality in my opinion. the country of make is not printed on the knife, sheath or box. i believe it was made in taiwan. the sheath is contoured to fit the leg and is comfortable but seems like it will crack if twisted or stepped on. i give it a 4 and i'm being generous since i haven't used it much.
