Calvin’s first day at SeaVentures for 2018 Summer Blast Week Session lessons began with him telling his instructor Ms. Tori that he didn’t like jumping in and he would not be putting his head underwater. By the end of the lesson, he had done both and was learning how to kick while holding on to a barbell. His mom, Torrey, told us at that Calvin did more in that lesson than he did in a school year’s worth of lessons at the last place they went!
By the end of that week, Calvin was going down to the bottom of the pool with assistance to retrieve diving rings. After three consecutive weeks of daily lessons, he moved up a level and was breathing out through his nose, learning dives, freestyle, and swimming across the pool.
Thanks to the consistency of daily lessons provided by blast week, Calvin went from being afraid of the water to being excited about jumping in and doing new things in just a month. He became a Blast Week success story. We here at SeaVentures want to say thank you to Calvin’s mom Torrey for choosing SeaVentures for swim lessons and to Calvin for keeping us entertained!
