Steps Taken By SeaVentures to Ensure a Clean, Safe Environment
  • Our facility is cleaned nightly to ensure a safe and sanitary area for you and your children.
  • We have fully stocked bathrooms with antibacterial soap and a hand dryer. We will also have paper towels available in the bathrooms for the remainder of this cold and flu season. Please have your child wash their hands and/or use hand sanitizer upon entering our facility to ensure the health of all our patrons.
  • For the remainder of this month, if a child comes to class displaying symptoms of an upper respiratory illness (cough, fever, runny nose) we will happily schedule a make-up class for that child and send them home to rest and recover.
  • We’re limiting hugs for now! We love loving on your kids, but right now we’ll do our best to give fist bumps and elbow taps rather than hugs or high fives!! Encourage your children to do this with their friends at school as well!
  • For the month of March, if your child is sick, they will receive a make-up class as soon as they are feeling better without the need for a Doctor’s Note!
Steps That YOU Should Take to Keep Your Child Healthy & Prevent the Spread of Germs
  • If your child is too sick to go to school, then please keep them home! Children should be symptom free and fever free (without the use of medication) for at least 24 hours before they return to school or SeaVentures.
  • Encourage your child (and you too) to use good hand washing practices. The simple act of washing with soap and water could drastically reduce the transmission of cold, flu, and other viruses. Lather up and sing Happy Birthday twice before you rinse!
  • Encourage them to cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when they cough or sneeze (and then throw away the tissue). If they don’t have a tissue, encourage kids to use their arm or sleeve to cover a sneeze or a cough.
We adore your kids and will do everything in our power to keep them safe, happy, and healthy while they are training at SeaVentures. If you have any questions, please see a member of our staff or you can reach us at swim@seaventures.com.

SeaVentures Travelers

The last month has brought about a new world where everyone must evaluate whether they will continue life as they planned or make adjustments. Our first concern is, and always has been, for your safety in diving. The SeaVentures travel program is fortunate that we do not cater to large crowds, but a smaller, familiar group of divers.

We always recommend travel insurance, however, most companies do not cover pandemic events. If you have a “cancel for any reason” policy and purchased prior to March 9, 2020, you are most likely covered in case the trip is cancelled. If a trip is cancelled, we will refund any money returned to us by the hotel or dive operator.

If you are traveling, here are a few travel tips:

  • Purchase Travel Insurance.
  • Know your health status before you make travel plans.
  • Wipe down seats on the plane, tray tables, and close the vents.
  • Keep wet wipes with you as you attend places with larger crowds.

All Keys trips through the end of May are postponed. Socorro and Egypt International trips have been postponed. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation daily and advise you of any changes in our itineraries.

We plan to resume Keys trips in June! Here is what we are doing to keep our staff and divers safe while traveling on the bus:

  • Wipe all hard surfaces with disinfectant & swipe all soft surfaces with UV Wand
  • Face masks, alcohol spray, and hand sanitizer available on board
  • Touchless Temperature Scans for staff and travelers prior to boarding
  • Disinfectant fogging machine with Hospital grade sanitizing Anasphere Plus for interior bus cleaning

SeaVentures Scuba Classes

Amid rising concerns about the Coronavirus, we want to share with you the policies and procedures SeaVentures has put in place to take care of our students. If you exhibit any symptoms, we encourage you to stay home. If a student is sick prior to class, they will be rescheduled once they are feeling better. If a student becomes ill during class, we will schedule a free make-up session for them once they are feeling better. Our open water and specialty academic sessions are being conducted virtually for the month of May.

For any in-water sessions, measures we are currently taking to ensure the cleanliness of our facility are:

  • Our pool area is cleaned nightly to ensure a safe and sanitary area for you and our students.
  • We have fully stocked bathrooms with antibacterial soap and a hand dryer. We will also have paper towels available in the bathrooms for the remainder of this cold and flu season.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will also be available in various areas of the facility.
  • Touch points around the facility are being sanitized and wiped down 3 times a day.
  • Rental gear is sanitized after each use.
  • Pool chemicals are tested 3 times a day to ensure proper chlorine levels. Because of this, our chlorinated pool is one of the safest and most sanitary places to be since it immediately kills germs.
  • We are limiting physical contact with our students to only what is necessary to perform skills.
  • Masks are wiped down after each fitting.

Please wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer upon entering our facility to ensure the health of all our patrons.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this challenging situation one day at a time and determine how best to continue serving our swimmers and divers.
