Want to stay warm? Want to extend your scuba diving season? Then dive dry. The SSI Dry Suit Diving program provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive while using a dry suit. You will learn the special requirements for dry suit diving, how to use your new equipment, the benefits of a dry suit, and how to deal with emergency situations that are unique to dry suit diving.
A dry suit seals you off from the water and keeps you comfortable, even in surprisingly cold water. There is incredible diving in the world’s cooler regions and in some areas, conditions are even better in colder months. Becoming a dry suit diver allows you to expand your boundaries and dive more places, more often.
You must be 10 years old or older and have a minimum certification level of Open Water Diver to complete the SSI Dry Suit Diving course. It requires two open water dives. This class is usually scheduled in conjunction with a SeaVentures trip. Click here to see our trip calendar! *Not all dive trips are set up for taking a dry suit course due to water temperatures. Make sure to call us at 770-992-3772 to discuss trip options.
